Improvement of strength characteristics for sandy soils by polypropylene fibers (PPF)

چکیده

Sandy soil contains many geotechnical problems, including high permeability, less shear strength, sand dunes, and liquefaction. Therefore, it is necessary to stabilize the sandy improve its engineering properties, either through mechanical or chemical fixations. The one done by changing classification of mixing with other types soils additives in various gradients. While fixation related modification properties adding chemically active substances. In this research, polypropylene fiber PPF proportions (0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 1%) was used study effect on physical soils, such as angle internal friction ϕ, strength τ, California Bearing Ratio CBR, permeability k. paper value CBR for improved increases 24%, 20%, 182.2% respectively 0.6% PPF, decrease which estimated be 26% 0.1% PPF.
